With over 25 years of experience in executive search, Ted Kister, who joined in founding David Barrett Partners in 2005, has conducted recruiting assignments and assessments of executives for clients in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Ted’s work includes the recruitment of chief operating officers and chief financial officers for asset management, wealth management and alternative investment firms as well as endowment and plan sponsor chief investment officers. He began his career in executive search with Russell Reynolds Associates in New York, where he became a Managing Director and served as a corporate officer and a member of the firm's executive committee. In 1995, he joined Pendleton James Associates, a leading boutique search firm. During 2000, Pendleton James Associates merged with London-based Whitehead Mann Group, and Ted became head of the North American Financial Officers Practice. Ted began his business career with KPMG Peat Marwick, where he served a wide range of financial services clients. He received an AB in English from Amherst College and an MBA from New York University Graduate School of Business Administration.
