Brandeis University Names Tarek Saghir as Chief Investment Officer
After an external search, Brandeis University has named Tarek Saghir as Chief Investment Officer. Saghir has served as the University’s interim CIO since Nicholas Warren left in March 2022 to become Glenmede’s CIO. As CIO at the University, Saghir will oversee the management of roughly $1.2 billion in assets, as well as a four-person team. Prior to joining Brandeis, Saghir was a Principal at GroveStreet, where he focused on fund investing and co-investing in buyouts, growth equity and venture capital. Before this, he worked at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) in a public market investment role, and as a consultant at McKinsey & Co. David Barrett Partners assisted Brandeis University in the search.
